The Open Learning System can interface to 3rd party course management systems or can utilize CNC Connection's Course Management System. This system provides the user with many features that include:
- User account setup and modification
- Course assignments
- Course section/instance setup
- Report generator and manager
- Group account setup and modification
- Ownership and permission control and configuration
- Default requirements setup including: database type and locations, server locations, virtual directory assignments, metadata field default requirements
